John Shepard is a writer, actor and comedian who lives in Brooklyn with his cat/boss, Kia. He is originally from Bloomington, Illinois, studied film at the University of Iowa where he was surrounded by millions of adoring stalks of corn. After fleeing the Midwest he wound up in New York, where he remains to this very day. It’s also been brought to my attention that John studied improv and writing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.

John has been spotted performing comedy in various theaters as well as backrooms, bar rooms and basements throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. As well as his long-running backyard comedy variety show, The Shep Yard.
